Chiller and Condenser Descaling
Chillers and condensers are essential components in heat transfer systems, and without proper maintenance, they can experience significant breakdowns. These units transfer heat between liquids, designed to optimize heat exchange efficiency while minimizing heat loss. However, over time, scale, rust, and lime can accumulate on the waterside of the exchanger, reducing heat transfer efficiency and potentially causing damage to the system.
With our specialized descalers, there’s no need to remove or dismantle the condenser or chiller units for effective descaling. Our Dynamic Descaler is industry-leading, providing a low corrosion rate and unmatched performance, ensuring your equipment remains in peak condition.
What is a Chiller?
A chiller circulates a chilled liquid (either water or a specially formulated refrigerant) through process equipment to provide cooling to either machinery or a specific area. Over time, industrial equipment becomes less efficient, and heat generation is a common byproduct. This accumulated heat can cause damage if not properly managed. The chiller is designed to absorb and remove this heat, routing it through the system to be expelled outside or to another designated area.
What is a Condenser?
A condenser, found inside a chiller, is a type of heat exchanger that uses refrigerants or other liquids to remove heat. Scale build-up is a common issue on the inner walls of the condenser, impacting its ability to transfer heat efficiently. This leads to higher condensing temperatures, resulting in increased energy consumption and reduced cooling capacity.
